The inspiration behind the design of this prototype comes from the MANU Hand Brace. However, we chose to modify a variety of components in order to make sure that the user is comfortable while wearing the hand brace. In order to add comfort, we added a sponge as well as a spoon to mimic the structure of the palm. We also chose to focus mainly on the wrist rather than the fingers. Specifically keeping it in an anatomically neutral position allowing for the users to type as well as do regular work.
